"To see is to believe" - this proverb holds doubly true when it comes to automation in accounting. In literature and online articles, you often come across claims that automation can reduce costs and increase efficiency. However, nothing is more convincing than a specific example from a company that resembles your own.
Footshop isn't just another e-shop, it's a cult collection for streetwear enthusiasts and sneaker lovers. In just a few years, Footshop has evolved from a small startup into one of the market leaders and can proudly claim membership in the adidas Consortium, an honor reserved for only the best stores in the world.
Invoices - the paper trail that every company both loves and hates. Footshop, like most businesses, receives invoices in various forms, from modern methods like EDI to traditional email invoices. The result is a large number of invoices that need to be manually processed and accounted for. This causes a range of problems and takes up valuable time for accountants.
Footshop contacted several suppliers offering various forms of automation, but often they were offered template-based solutions. However, this was not sufficient for Footshop. It was only when they met Digitoo, a relatively new player in the field of digitalization, that they found the solution they were looking for. The Digitoo system was able to process foreign invoices, and the price was within expectations. The collaboration quickly turned into a friendly relationship, and both companies continue to work on improving the entire solution.
The next step is optimizing the system for international invoices. Footshop would also like to introduce an approval process through the Digitoo application. Collaboration in this area continues, and Footshop will soon see further innovations, including the digitization and automation of advance invoices and receipts.
